After canceling our last bargaining session because they weren’t ready to respond on wages and healthcare, the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank is refusing to pay the full healthcare premium for their workers.

These essential workers, who are largely People of Color, are putting themselves at risk by serving the community during a pandemic that is also largely affecting communities of color. The least their employer can do is cover their full health insurance premium so that workers and the community are protected.

Our Local 29 bargaining team is ready to respond to these proposals and fight for their coworkers to get what they deserve! We will fight for you even if we have to bargain via Zoom and Google Hangouts. This is what bargaining looks like in a pandemic.
