Hello Friends, Brothers, and Sisters,
We had our first bargaining session on Tuesday! Here is a rundown of what happened:
- We discussed ground rules and presented our first contract proposals to management. Management was receptive to our ideas, and we feel hopeful that the bargaining process will be collaborative.
- We didn’t discuss wages, health insurance, or other economic issues because HR hadn’t yet given us the information we needed to put together our proposals. We just received this info from them, so we will be putting together our economic proposals to discuss later in the bargaining process.
- We hope to meet for our second bargaining session by the end of January.
We’ve closed the second bargaining survey; check out the results here! We will use the info collected throughout the survey process to inform what we ask for in our contract.
